Hi,
We have installed trial version of SCOM 2007 monitoring tool for Biztalk. Whenever orchestration suspended, we are getting alert in Ops manager console. But alerts have not been automatically forward to E-mail. Every time we have to manually forward the alert to “E-mail by using Forward to–> operations manager Internal Connector”. Could you please advise how to configure alert being automatically forward to E-mail.
Please let me know, if you need more clarification.

Hi,

I´m having an issue:

If i edit an alert on the Company Knowledge other users cant see my comments and also if they made a change i cant see their comments, how can i fix this?

You can monitor a several servers in another forest/domains, but you cannot monitor the AD of these forest/domains.

I recently came across a monitoring solution called Xian NM Io R2 from a company called Jalasoft. They have a variety of Management Packs that integrate seamlessly with Ops Mgr 2007 and allow you to monitor up to 1500 network devices. Another cool feature is the topology tool that allows you to discover the topology of your network. It might be a good option for other people who have large environments and feel that Ops Mgr just doesn’t have the capability to monitor it.

I know that SCCP 2007 is discontinued, however it is a prerequisite for installing the Sharepoint installer. Does anyone have a copy of SCCP 2007 V2.0 that could be sent to my email? Thanks.

Do you have a copy of the SCCP 2007 msi that I can use for myself, possibly by emailing it to me? It seems that Microsoft has discontinued it but is a prerequisite for using the Sharepoint Server planning tool. Thanks.

Talking about MPs, I recently found a company that offers specific MPs for OpsMgr, for many of the most used network devices like, Cisco Switches, routers, firewalls, VMware, and a bunch of others. They have hundreds of out of the box rules, which makes life much easier for the user. The name of the company is Jalasoft, maybe you can search for it as a way to test the new Management Pack Catalog Revamp.

Hi All
I have a problem with the event 1102 where i can see millions of event generating with this event id in the console for the RMS.

the event say

Rule/Monitor “Microsoft.Windows.Server.AD.Forest.PerfRollupMonitor” running for instance “xxxx.xxxx.com.au” with id:”{E95CEA87-AFDC-2274-D976-37131C7BB073}” cannot be initialized and will not be loaded. Management group “Production”

when i check the health explorer it says

health service handle count service cannot be handled..

what can be the possible solution for this type of error.. please reply..

Hi Brad, I realise I’m writing this response more than a year after you asked the question – but I thought I would answer it anyway just incase someone else comes across this post.

The reason you’re getting that error is because you are running the command from the native powershell prompt, and not from the Operations Manager shell.

You must run the “get-alert” command from the Operations Manager Command Shell which has extra cmdlets and utilities loaded. You can get to it from Start -> Programs -> System Center Operations Manager 2007 -> Command Shell.
